oh the unexplicable joy of childhood!!
summer is so breathtakingly beautiful but so fleeting and marches by so quickly with the youthfulness of a child. i just want to keep it with me for such a long time because it's voice of youth touches my heart and renews my soul. out to the trees, out to the sea, out to find the lost voice of summer. please stay my dearest friend, for you, the days that are long and languid and lovely.....are my favorite time and language. summer, the happiest days of all.

better now......feeling better now. it is disheartening to me to be affected by things in life that are negative. i want so much to just be surrounded by beauty......to be able to see beautiful flowers everywhere around me, beautiful art, people who are happy and kind to one another.....just all those things that make life worth living to be honest. when i see situations or people that are unhappy, angry or whatever, it is so difficult to deal with that. i try to cheer others up when i am around them, by being kind and thoughtful, but sometimes that is very difficult to do. that is when i find myself just running back so quickly to those things that are comforting to me and bring my heart and my spirit back to a beautiful, calming place. it is like a lovely, quiet garden that heals my soul. these pictures touch my heart. they represent who i am as a person, an artist, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend. i can't live without beautiful things, beautiful people and places and beautiful music, art, etc. it is as important to me as the air i breathe. i am so grateful to all of these creative people who share their incredible talents and vision!!

More beautiful pictures......

hello everyone. i love sunday because it is such a quiet day. people are more relaxed and not so stressed, hurrying to work, thinking about worldly things. i really appreciate how sunday is a day when people slow down, they are more thoughtful about their lives and listen quietly more to what's going on. i can hear the lovely birds outside singing and wish i could be out there with them. we do not live in a very green area.....there are lots of trees but in my heart, i am always longing to be where everywhere you look there are green hills and trees and lovely brooks and the feeling of space. i like cities but i don't really like living in a city. i would love so much to live in england or ireland, out in the country in a little cottage on a farm. my spirit just feels so confined here. we are trying to find a beautiful place to live. i would love to have a beautiful garden again and a little cat.....an orange, long haired cat with beautiful eyes. cats are so healing and comforting. they are so sweet. we cannot have a cat where we live and that just breaks my heart. so, we are trying to find a better life, a life where i can go outside to a lovely yard and enjoy my beautiful flowers.....tall hollyhocks that are so delicate and pretty, colorful cosmos, fluttering in the soft breeze, little nasturtiums, silly and fragrant. there is no yard here when i can walk out and feel close to nature in a quiet, wonderful way. i think people need that in this life.....they need the peace of nature and the beauty to heal our souls.

i've shared some photos today that i hope you will like. i try to express beauty and softness in the pictures i share. i am so grateful to all these artists and creative people who find lovely things to impart to us. isn't it such a precious thing that people love what is beautiful and inspiring and lovely?

have a lovely day.......

fairies live in a beautiful place, a beautiful world.....

i may have posted some of these pictures on my blog before, but just wanted to share my little furniture again as i haven't shown photos of my little fairy pieces in quite a while. i've been spending so much time painting lately that i've only made a few pieces of fairy furniture lately. i really miss working on them. need to gather more natural materials, though. i love working with beautiful papers and old fabric, beads, found objects, etc., but i really love working with nature most. i wish we could live on a farm again; i miss having a garden and flowers and little animals. we used to live in washington (about an hour from seattle) and we had a pony, chickens, rabbits, ducks and geese and huge gardens. we loved it so much and miss all of that terribly. i hope sometime in the future we can get back to living in the country where it is quieter, beautiful and inspiring.

i hope your christmas is truely blessed and lovely. it is definitely a magical, special time in the world.
