Painting and perseverence.......children and fairies!

Hello everyone,
It has been so long since I've posted anything. My husband Mike and I moved about a month ago from Califoria to Utah and eventually found jobs working together as decorative painters at the Utah State Capitol. We've been working there for about three weeks and it is very hard work. The first week was so unbelieveably difficult for me (and for Mike, too). We have to climb up and down ladders and scaffolding constantly, kneel and sit on the floor to paint the lower parts of the walls, work in a hot and dusty area and just plain work hard! By the end of the day, we are so exhausted. About a week and a half ago, I started having problems with my shoulder. I probably pulled a muscle or something, but it is so painful and has just not stopped hurting. Then last Friday, I pulled a muscle in my back and have been in terrible pain with that. I can't believe all of these things are happening. I have been trying to get well, but it is really painful trying to get through this.
We rented a very nice condominium here near Salt Lake City and are enjoying that, though. It is very comfortable and nice for us to come home to. The weather here is so hot. It is unbearable. But the last few days, it has been stormy and overcast and we even had some rain, so we were so grateful for that!!!
I hope all of you are doing well and having a good summer, what is left of it. I will try to post more things now that we are more settled.
Here are a few pictures I found on the internet that you might enjoy. Take care!
Debbie

Debbie! These fairy children look just like those I imagine living in your lovely castle!!! I remember wondering how Michelangelo lasted painting all those ceilings... from your post I am guessing he had back pains too... I'll bet your 'finishes' are amazing though, how lucky for Utah to have not one but two fine-artists to paint the capital! I hope you feel better soon, and yes, I have been wondering where you have been...
Hugs!
