  1. Debbie, I don't know if you will consider sharing some of your secrets. Upon moving to Oregon from S.Calif. four years ago, my daughter (then 5) and I were struck by the faery-like quality of the woods here and built two beautiful fairy houses (only five rooms each), one for her and one for her cousin. At the time I didn't know anyone else did such a thing until recently I came across your website and was blown away!! I am about to embark on a third house for my twin nieces. This time I want to create a more romantic and less dollhouse shape and am wondering what the base of your houise is made on, what materials the stone floors are made of, and what kind of glue do you find works best. My houses are mostly held together with glue from a glue gun which has it's pluses and minuses, and the bases are thick styrofoam which isn't very sturdy. Please, I would love any information you would be willing to share!! Also, I can't locate pussywillows anywhere around here--where do they grow??? Beautiful work Debbie, girls everywhere are thankful.

  2. Hello Phoebe,

I was excited to receive your wonderful comment and to know of someone else who is inspired by the beauty of nature. You and your daughter must have had a wonderful time together creating your fairy houses!!
If you'll send me your email address, I will write back to you about how to make the fairy houses. Thank you again for writing to me!
