These are incredible photos from a beautiful book about Provence that I bought for my mom for Christmas. I have a copy, too, but it is in storage. She absolutely loves beautiful things and I know she will really love this book. This is the way I love to decorate!!!!
One thing I would love (almost more than anything) to do in my life is to be an interior decorator. This is the style I would want to use for people. I love European design, things that are old, weathered, elegant and rustic.

Oh Debbie, you can come and decorate your heart out at my house!!! Love the photos, what book is it??? And thank you so much for your 'Great Dane' story... what a wonderful tale. I can just see the expression on his eyes when caught in the act "you mean these aren't for me???" Very funny! I have always loved the idea of Interior design too, I actually was going to major in that in college, but switched to textile design, when I realized that I liked details more than rooms. I bet your rooms are lovely...!
Debbie, thank you for visiting my blog. To tell you the truth I have been lurking on you blog. I love you Fairy Furniture....I think I may have some of your pieces....I bought them in the Adirondacks in the late 80's or early 90's. I love you Fairy Castle....and that you live with magic in your heart.
Debbie~ I found your site through Ulla's blog. I SO REMEMBER THE VICTORIA MAGAZINE THAT FEATURED YOUR FAERIE FURNITURE!!!! How I love that whole spread and how lovely to find you here! I was broken hearted when that beautiful magazine went away. I had every issue from the start in 1987. Your work is lovely and I will be back to enjoy it on a regular basis. Merry Christmas ~ Cindy (Rella)
Hi Debbie - Thank you for your recent comment on my blog. It is funny - you ask if I have a beautiful inspiring studio to work in. Well, I do in my mind - right now I work in my unfinished basement - (far from inspiring!) But I do know what I would like it to look like. Did you ever see the book - Where Women Create ? There are some great work studios in there. I am sure you have a great studio to do all of your creating in! We will be working on the basement real soon! Anyway - I love the photos you posted from your book. Those rooms are so beautiful - I love that look too! Actually I love many different styles! Have a great New Year Debbie! I always find your blog so interesting!
These ARE beautiful images. I've never been to Provence but from the photos, it looks like a piece of heaven! Have you ever visited Corey from Tongue in Cheek? She is a lovely blogger from the South of France and often posts up pictures of her life there. Her website is...http://willows95988.typepad.com/.
